2010 marked
it’s first year for the
“Cheryl Kosewicz Memorial
Scholarship”
Cheryl’s
commitment to assisting the Children of Clark County in her
legal capacity was only a part of her many tasks. She
volunteered her time to coach the Green Valley High School
Mock Trial Team. Under her guidance, her teams won the state
Championship two years and proceeded to the National
High School Mock Trial Competition: one in Minnesota, one in
Florida. Cheryl later went on to be a Judge in the local
competition.
Education
was a priority even as a student at UNLV. In addition to
Cheryl’s own studies and a Lady Rebel Basketball player she
tutored basketball, football and tennis students.
The Board at

only fitting
that a
scholarship be awarded annually to an outstanding senior
advocate involved in Clark County’s Mock Trial season.
